Debates between Cristiano Ronaldo and the recently FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi may never end.

Everyone shares their own opinion; the majority of football fans think that Barcelona’s playmaker Lionel Messi is currently the best player on the planet but Spanish tabloid Marca has other views.

In a rating containing ten different categories, Marca picked Real Madrid’s number 9 superstar Cristiano Ronaldo over Argentina’s number 10 forward, Lionel Messi.

Out of these ten categories, there were six wins for Real Madrid and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, two draws, and only two wins for Barcelona’s Argentine star player Lionel Messi.

Out of 100 possible points, Cristiano Ronaldo also picked as much as 79 points compared to Marca’s second best Lionel Messi who still grabbed 80 points in the end – one more point than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Overall however, Cristiano Ronaldo comes on top of Lionel Messi as the world’s most complete player according to Marca even if Lionel Messi may have more dribbling skills.
