Current FIFA World Player Of The Year Cristiano Ronaldo To Be Jealous Of Lionel Messi?
18 December 2009
The FIFA World Player of the Year Award is set to take place on Monday, December 21st in Zurich. Lionel Messi is the hot favorite to grab the accolade and therefore make a clean sweep of titles, just like Ricardo Kaka in 2007 and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008.
The Portuguese superstar was poised to be succeeded by Barcelona’s Argentine ace Lionel Messi since long ago. However, as a “perfectionistâ€, Cristiano Ronaldo might be aching to see his rival take over his crowns one by one this year.
Earlier in the summer, Lionel Messi was voted UEFA’s Best Forward and Best Player of the year. Recently, the number 10 playmaker also scooped the Ballon d’Or award only to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo’s achievement last year.
Next week, Messi is expected to clinch FIFA’s most prestigious individual trophy – the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
Should this eventually happen, Lionel Messi would come as Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor for the title – much to the pleasure of Barcelona, Argentina, and anti-Ronaldo supporters.
And how will Cristiano Ronaldo perceive such a thing?
Not to mention the word “jealousyâ€, will it drive Cristiano Ronaldo to reach new heights just as Kaka’s crowning as the world’s best player in 2007 pushed him to score an incredible 42 goals in a season and eventually become the best?

Ronaldoooooo!!! THE BEST GET LOST MESSI AND THE RESTT
Yep, that injuries caused him second place for Balon D’or…..it’ll probably the same for FIFA, but it has nothing 2 do with his skills, cause he is the best…..For him being jealous, I think it’s normal.
ronaldo still remains the best, it just some injuries that messed with the portugues superstar
