Madrid lose to Sevilla

On Sunday night, Real Madrid clashed up against Sevilla in Andalusia to play the match of the weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo was not part of the squad and coincidentally, Real Madrid lost 2-1 against the hosts.

Jesus Navas and Renato scored for Sevilla and despite Pepe’s equalizer in the second half, Real Madrid never managed to avoid defeat.

So this loss means that Real Madrid are now three points behind Barcelona in La Liga’s standings. Barcelona beat Almeria 1-0 earlier on Saturday to put pressure on their rivals.

Still, Real Madrid keep hold of the second spot away from Sevilla who don’t possess a better goal difference than Madrid.
