UEFA Club Player of the Year Award

UEFA Club Player of the Year Award

Twelve months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo was in Monaco, France, where he was named Europe’s best footballer of the year. The Portuguese star will be attending this year’s ceremony as well which starts this evening at 17:45 CET.

The former Champions League winner, who was earlier nominated in UEFA’s best XI, will compete for the prize alongside Eto’o and hot favorite Lionel Messi.

Predictions highly tip Barcelona’s Argentine forward to take the title over from Cristiano Ronaldo as UEFA’s Best Forward and Best Footballer of the 2008/2009 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo may end this evening’s gala ceremony empty handed. Either way, he will be looking ahead to Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League campaign which will kick off on September 15/16.

Now what is your opinion? Who will win this year’s UEFA Club Player award? Vote here now:

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Sadly – I think Lionel Messi will win just about everything this year. I find him sooo annoying and hope by some miracle of God Cris or someone else will end up taking the prizes. As long as it isn’t Messi! Then I’m happy. =D
