The start of a new rivalry
It is amazing how a rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Robinho is so quickly building up. With Real Madrid really wanting to sign the Portuguese star, the transfer deal means that the Spanish giants will sell Robinho as part of it.
It’s obvious to see that this decision has angered the Brazilian who consequently wants to quit Madrid.
Reports claim that Chelsea boss Felipe Scolari wishes Robinho to be part of his team come the start of the season.
Thus, what if Ronaldo finally ends up staying at Man United and what if Robinho moves to Chelsea?
The EPL may surely reach a new level of attraction, as meetings between Chelsea and Manchester will highlight the clash of two talented wingers: the Blue Brazilian Devil Robinho versus the Red Rocket Ronaldo.

Robinho better than Ronaldo?
The young Brazilian forward Robinho is reportedly upset with Real Madrid and their apparent willingness to make him part of a deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Madrid.
Robinho’s agent Vagner Rebeiro is quoted as saying that neither him or Robinho like the fact that he is being used as a “bargaining chipâ€, claiming the player has been “devalued†as a result. Robinho’s ability on the field of play, according to his agent “ is better than or equal to Ronaldoâ€. However it seems Real do not have that same opinion.
While they wait around for Ronaldo, Robinho has been in contact through his agent with Chelsea with a view to a possible transfer. Chelsea manager Scolari see’s Robinho as the right player to add that touch of flair that Chelsea owner Mr Abramovic clearly desires next season from his playing staff. Now he probably wishes he could have Ronaldo in his side! But money can’t buy everything.

Back to the Galactico period for Madrid?
It has been argued across Madrid that the possible capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from Man Utd will be a step back for the Real, in their quest to be European Champions for the tenth time.
For if Real do capture Ronaldo, the funds that will be left to strengthen the rest of the team is an interesting moot point. For it may even mean Madrid sacrificing other quality players such as Sneijder, Ramos or Robinho.
Football is an unpredictable game and this is why it is loved throughout the world. Because even in signing the best player on the planet, nothing is guaranteed. Football is a team game and Madrid may struggle if to get this latest Galactico, they end up without the strength in depth to really challenge the best teams in Europe.
